The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit root yuj, which means to unite. Yoga is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind, & spirit. The continued practice of yoga will lead you to a sense of peace & well-being, & also a feeling of being at one with their environment.
Tribal Fusion Belly Dance incorporates elements from Egyptian belly dance, Hip Hop as well as movement principles from traditional forms such as Flamenco, Kathak & other dance styles. Through dancing we can create strong, graceful bodies with open hearts, minds, self awareness & acceptance.
Yoga nidra is a state of consciousness between waking & sleeping. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, & the practitioner becomes systematically & increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. The goal of yoga nidra is to reach a state called samadhi.

In my classes I always say that your body and soul are the true teachers and never another person. Deep listening to your body is what matters the most. This dance can become a transmission for healing and awakening to the truth of who we really are.
During this workshop you will be practising serpentine arms and layering (a combination of two or more movements together). You will learn three dancing combinations and we will put it all together, creating a beautiful choreography towards the end of the workshop. You can use this dancing combos and choreography in your dancing.

Workshop "Yoga & Tribal Fusion dance"
This master class will contain 1 hours Yoga and 2 hours of Dance.

Without regular cleansing of the of the system one cannot gain maximum benefit from yoga practices.During this seminar we will learn a special complex of morning exercises, that will include shatkarma (purification techniques) and pranayama (breathing techniques). This is a very important from the point of view of physical and mental health in Yoga. These simple techniques are also highly valuable in healing internal disorders. Regular practice of this techniques can clean your respiratory system and digestive tract, tone up your abdominal viscera and intestines. They also build up resistance to diseases and sharpen the mind.

Vinyasa Flow & Hatha Yoga
The lesson is open for all level of practitioners, you will learn Hatha & Vinyasa flow style of yoga which connects movement with breathing. The class will contain breathing guidance & explanation of Ujjayi breath which is a special yogic breathing technique. We will run through the standing asanas, different balances, deep stretches & floor poses.
At the end of the class there will be some challenging poses and we will finish off with shavasana, a deep state of relaxation to let everything you have leaned sink in. The continued practice of yoga will lead you to a sense of peace & well-being, & also a feeling of being at one with your environment.
Belly Dance
During the lesson we will connect with our feminine power & open the door to our natural beauty. In the beginning of the lesson we'll do some warming up using Vinyasa flow yoga to prepare the body for dance. We then move onto hand movements as this is the key to becoming a great tribal dancer, we do this whilst trying to connect the movement with soft steps. Along the way I will give detailed explanations of each main tribal posture.
Now it's time to have some real fun & practice actual tribal techniques & dance chords. Towards the end of the lesson its shimmy time (hips shaking), eventually we'll connect the shimmy with the head, then the hands, followed by the other parts of the body. We then finish off with some nice stretching yoga asanas to warm down.
Deep Meditation
Yoga Nidra is practised in the yogic pose called shavasana, this means you get to lay down on your back on your yoga mat or blanket. I will then adjust your position to make it the most comfortable it can be, using small pillows for the head & cosy blanket to cover your body, this will reduce sensory stimulation as much as possible. You will stay in shavasana during entire practice which will last around 40-45 minutes.
The aim of Yoga Nidra is to reach a state of consciousness between waking & sleeping, a state called samadhi. To achieve this you will follow my voice as it takes you on an inner journey of complete relaxation, you will become systematically & increasingly aware of the inner world.
